Underbelly
Dwellicle 109

March 22 - April 18, 2010
DWELLICLE 109 is a surprising and funny look at one extraordinary day in the life of A & B, two men who live and work together in a dwelling-cubicle deep underground. Accompanied by two foley artists who use their voices, two cellphones and a vacuum cleaner to score the show live, DWELLICLE 109 playfully examines the many ways in which our day-to-day routines define us, bring us comfort and security, and how, if threatened, we will go to extraordinary lengths to preserve them.

ARTISTS
Working under the moniker Underbelly, Gabriel Baron and Gabriel Levey create original performance works that, through heightened theatricality and comedy, embolden the audience to confront, celebrate, laugh at, and embrace the every day terrors of existence. Created in collaboration with a team of multi-disciplinary theater artists, Dwellicle 109 is Underbelly’s flagship production. Initially conceived and developed in residence at One Arm Red, Dwellicle 109 will be expanded and completed in IRT’s 3B Development Series.
