Improbable Stage
Rough Draft

September 1-7 2015
IN RESIDENCE at IRT: September 1-7 2015
We at Improbable Stage are thrilled to be back at IRT Theater. Our current devised theatre piece, sales Rough Draft, has been in development for about 18 months. We had a staged reading of the work at Alvin Ailey Studios in February of 2015. We are using our 3B Residency for final development work before our three week run at The Wild Project from September 17th – October 3rd.
Rough Draft, a powerful and compelling theater piece utilizing movement as its primary vocabulary, tells the story of an established novelist for whom a tragic event serves as a catalyst for self examination. Having believed his life was a well written book, he must question and redefine for himself what it means to be “successful” and discover if he possesses the courage to begin anew, another “rough draft.”
