Axh Marie & Gina Ferraro

September 29 2024

IN RESIDENCE: September 12 – 30, 2024

Influenced by Samuel Beckett’s short plays, Axh Marie and Gina Ferraro explore the inner workings of their mind under the influence of anxiety, depression & body dysmorphia. Using clown, mask work, and sound collage they will physicalize their inner worlds and create visceral movement pieces. Blowing up the microcosm of their unconscious with repetition, patterns and absurdity so that the audience can see themselves within it. In this Capitalistic world, our mental disorders are created and fed by social media, long work hours with low wages, poisoned food and water, and a government that makes better laws for companies than people. In this unfair system, we need to learn how to override it together and that starts with the most anti-establishment thing we can do; self-love.
